Ok, I want something like a remote desktop client for my notebook, but the sound output should stay on the PC, because it's connected to the hifi-system. Or maybe some solution that the audio output of the notebook is redirected to the pc via network.
Anyone doing that ? edit: mmh, 2nd option might be problematic with the latency anyway, wanted to watch movies and vids that way, so maybe just get another cable... Last edited by Sledge; 30-01-2010 at 05:38. |

Thx. gonna try that for movies. Doesn't help me with watching video streams like youtube vids, trailers and stuff though.
( It was all about using notebook in bed tbh. lol ... It's just so much more comfy than sitting at the pc late at night. All that's missing is decent sound via my audio system, since the built-in speakers are crap. ) Last edited by Sledge; 02-02-2010 at 23:35. |

uh ... guess I was blind. On the remote desktop client login screen under options->local resources, you can select, if the sound shall stay on the server, redirected to the client or be muted.
